Our Mission
Based in Kilifi, Kenya the Kikoi Medical Group is dedicated to providing high-quality evidence based approaches to injuries and illness. We aim to improve the overall health and well-being of those around us by offering a variety of training courses and healthcare solutions to meet not only your personal needs but to empower the whole community.
Our story
It was one fateful night when our good friend slipped off some steps and broke his patella and femoral tendon (a really nasty injury). At this point a cricket pad splint was fashioned out of some spare bits of wood (with a panga) and of course some kikois! This essential treament immobilises the leg, aids pain and prevents further injury during transport. On arrival to Coast General Hospital, Mombasa the orthopeadic surgeons thought it was some of the best immobilsation they had seen, hence a name was born...
